Our Tours

The Mobile Tented Safari

Private and immersive safaris deep within the parks and reserves. Unlike traditional lodge-based safaris, you travel in specially-designed 4x4 bush vehicles with a private local guide, while a logistics team handles all the camp arrangements. The mobile tented safari is a unique and timeless way to experience Africa's vast wilderness. Live an adventure akin to that of the continent's early explorers. Enjoy a thoughtful blend of authenticity and comfort with fully-equipped tents and service. Camping in this way brings you up close to the rhythms of the wild, allowing you to observe the bush come alive at night. The distant laugh of a hyena or the deep, resonant roar of a lion passing near your camp will stay with you forever.

Fly In Safaris

A fly-in safari involves traveling between different sites by small aircraft. Some of these locations are so remote that reaching them by road is impractical, if not impossible. This means you can devote most of your time to experiencing African wildlife alongside your lodge or camp guide. Additionally, it allows the economic benefits of safari tourism to reach more remote and otherwise inaccessible regions.

Lodge Safaris

The style of accommodation varies significantly. Typically, you will have your own bathroom with hot water and a toilet, a mosquito net, a private front veranda, and electricity for at least part of the day. A bar and restaurant will be available on-site, and in some cases, a swimming pool. Often, staying at a safari lodge is an experience nearly as memorable as the safari itself. Many lodges are located in remote areas, accessible by a flight to a dirt airstrip—sometimes with wildlife visible as the plane approaches.

Walking Safaris

A walking safari in Africa, particularly in Zimbabwe (Mana Pools, Hwange, Victoria Falls) or Zambia (Luangwa, Lower Zambezi, Kafue) and Botswana (the Okavango Delta), allows you to become part of the wilderness, offering a unique immersion that focuses on sensory experiences, animal tracks, and the subtle details of the bush. Accompanied by specialized guides, you will learn to interpret the signs of the wild—footprints, scents, and other clues—while your safety is ensured. This experience is ideally combined with 4x4 or canoe safaris.

The Canoe Safari

A silent and environmentally respectful way to explore, primarily on the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe (Mana Pools) and Zambia (Lower Zambezi and Kafue). You can approach wildlife without disturbing them, immersing yourself in the heart of nature with the river and animals with your ever-changing landscape.

Safari Cruise

The safari cruise is a unique experience in Southern Africa, combining peaceful navigation aboard a comfortable ship with wildlife viewing from small watercraft.

Additional Information

Going on safari can be a life changing experience for children, but you have to choose your destination and accommodation wisely. On a lodge safari, kids have the comfort of a ‘home’ to return to after their game drives; and unlike a bush camping safari, there will be plenty to do on site, such as a pool, a communal lounge or a small library. What’s more, many lodges offer babysitting services or put on child friendly nature walks, should the kids tire of all those long drives. Tanzania and South Africa in particular both have excellent family friendly lodges and guides, while South Africa and Namibia have the lowest risk of malaria. Generally, though we’d only recommend lodge safaris for children aged eight and over, and gorilla trekking for teenagers aged 15 plus.
